Pokémon Gym Leader: Prehistoric Badge

A Walkthrough of my Pokémon Gym design and Team

A few months back TikTok had a trending challenge asking people to imagine themselves as Pokémon Gym Leaders and to include what their gyms and teams would look like. and the gym layouts they'd have. In all honestly I'm never usually one to take part in challenges but I'm a sucker for Pokémon and the idea of designing a Gym was all too appealing. So you can read about it here, or see a brief version on my TikTok account addressing the actual challenge.
The Gym
Now I'm honest enough to admit I'm never going to be a top-tier gym leader. I don't have the skillset or determination to be a tough-going leader (Well, excluding Silver & Gold's Whitney who was an absolute beast for a 3rd Gym Leader), so you're looking at the not-so-challenging 4th/5th Gym Leader on your route to the Elite 4.
In case you're wondering the Badge is 100% inspired by Jurassic Park. An amber badge with a small Aerodactyl inside to pay homage to the iconic mosquito and amber of the film.

The Challenge
Much like the badge, the Gym itself is designed like the park, with the big imposing gates opening to lush jungle life and skeletons of the prehistoric Pokémon scattered throughout the area. To get through to the final battle you will need to locate the four missing pieces from the four displays and return them to their correct positions. Once completed will unlock a hidden path that will lead you to the final Gym Leader battle (That's me :)). It's like a scavenger hunt and puzzle, with the archaeologist trainers lurking around to give a battle on your hunt.
The Team
Pokémon 1: Shieldon

A baby Shieldon to start as I love that little guy. He won't put up much of a fight, but he will be sturdy and drop some stones before he disappears at the very least. Just doing his best as a top prehistoric boi.
Pokémon 2: Cradily

Following the opener, things would start to heat up with my Cradily entering the fray. Partly because I think it has a great design, but also because this Pokémon carried me through a recent run-through when I never expected it to. A local hero of my past Pokémon teams so they have to represent my prehistoric gym.
Pokémon 3: Aurorus

Lastly coming to round out the battle is the big dino of the team, Aurorus. However I do have to address the main problem I have with Aurorus despite being absolutely stunning, she is weak to just about anything. So the big represent for one of my favourite designs, but this would be a glass cannon hoping to do high damage before she's knocked out by one of a dozen super-effective moves.
Just a nice light-hearted write for today. I was re-uploading the TikTok and fancied talking a bit more about my Pokémon Gym as I'm all for the fossil Pokémon, I think it'd be a niche spin in comparison to pure typing gyms. Have you thought about your Pokémon gym, or seen any other gyms that look stellar, let me know below.
As always, thanks again for reading. :)
