Inspiration keeps eluding you? We've got you covered.

Finding Inspiration can be hard. Sometimes it'll come to you out of nowhere like a baseball hurtling towards an oblivious kid in the stands, other times you'll get that urge to write, but there's just nothing sparking to provoke your creative juices. Well, you can call yourself a duvet because I've got you covered. Below are some tips and tricks that could help find you some inspiration and kick-start that next writing venture.
Think About Your Past
You don't need to look far for inspiration, sometimes you have a whole heap of great stories just sitting there in your memories. Better yet, why not start flicking through some old photos, videos and trinkets you've accumulated over your life? It may just light that fire of what if? Or maybe even a great scenario that your brain starts to build on if someone else experiences it.
A Photo Walk
Fresh air never tasted so good, and by that... well, I have no idea what I mean by that, but still. What I would say is getting outdoors and just leaving your writing space can be a good source of change, but why not mix that stroll up with a photo walk? Start enjoying the outside, maybe there are trees twisted in unique ways, cats squaring off, or leaves falling in a particular way. Just snap it. Snap whatever takes your fancy and come back to it when you get back home to see if anything appeals to you. Maybe that leaf pattern is actually a homing signal for hedgehog migrations? Or it's just a pile of leaves, but you get the jist.
People Watching
As a writer one of the greatest resources out there is other people. Everyone has such fascinating lives and even if they don't think so I can almost guarantee you will. Maybe they've played semi-pro sports in their past, always have a complicated love life, or just talk a whole load of rubbish. I mean just catching a bus you'll hear conversations on just about anything from what's for dinner to Craig getting up to his old tricks again. Just take it all in. The world is unfolding around you and it's a source ripe for plucking.
Charity/kooky shops
One man's trash is another man's treasure. Or perhaps it's the inspiration for your next story just waiting to be discovered. Shops can hold all sorts of items, especially charity shops the amount of things in there could have endless backstories to them. A beaten old book with a personal message, an unusual ornament perhaps concealing a hidden message inside, or maybe even the classic duffel bags of cocaine your grandma forgot to empty out of her handbags before heading over to make her donations. The possibilities are endless.
Head To Your Favourite Place
It may seem like the most obvious. heck, you may feel like you've overused that special place and it's all run dry, but that's the great thing about that place, it never will. It might not drop you new inspiration but it'll help you feel calm and relaxed and just be in your comfort zone and let you take the break you deserve. Maybe as you rest ideas of the past you couldn't make work start to piece together? It's your favourite place for a reason, so why not think about what makes it that for you and see where that takes you?
There you have it. A few quick tips to help find some inspiration for your writing. Did you find it useful? Did you find it a pile of rubbish? Be sure to let me know in the comments below.
As always, Thanks again for reading. :)
