Women's football seems to be growing in popularity year on year, and now there's no better time to join.

Whilst Men's league football has been underway since mid-August, the Women's game has been patiently waiting, delivering an action-packed and drama-filled World Cup. Complete with big upsets and a Euro-winning England team marching themselves all the way to the coveted final. That may have been just over a month ago, but with all that excitement how could you not be gearing up to follow along as the Women's Super League returns today (October 1st) with all of the 12 teams kicking off their campaigns.
The Women's game is continually becoming more accessible year after year, and 2023 makes no exception. With every game of the season being available, whether that be on Sky Sports or free to watch on BBC channels or the FA player. A lot of the teams have seen their games moved to their club's main home ground following the games TV deal a few years back with Clubs offering season tickets as low as £42 for Leicester City Women, an absolute steal in this Cost of Living Crisis.
There may be fears around the league being uncompetitive with the likes of the big 3 (Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City) fighting between themselves each year for the last 9/10 years. Until Manchester United finally broke through into the top 3 for the first time last season. But with more interest and quality finding its way into the game you can't help but feel bigger upsets are on the horizon. In an age when we've seen Leicester City go from relegation survivors to title winners and Greece take home the Euro, you can never write off a football match before kick-off.
So do you think you'll be tuning in to watch the Women's Super League this year? It's an easily accessible season, filled with quality at the top flight of English football. So I guess the more appropriate season is, how could you not?
